Job Summary

The PCO Technical Service Manager (TSM) supports the Product Development, Marketing and PCO Sales Teams. Ultimately, all tasks and responsibilities support the development, marketing and sale of CSI’s PCO product portfolio. The successful candidate will be required to travel for PCO Sales Team support which includes attending (and at times speaking at) NPMA and other regional industry events, visits to key end users, and internal CSI meetings held throughout the year including monthly New Product Meetings at CSI’s headquarters in Pasadena, TX.

Duties and Responsibilities
Product Development
  • Develop new project ideas, build development plans, and maintain field trial budgets
  • Liaison with University Researchers and Industry Cooperators; negotiate compensation for efficacy trials and comparison trials and communicate development needs to meet EPA requirements
  • Construct product labels or formulation development documents prior to new development including product application rates
  • Attend, participate in, and support meetings in Houston Office, approximately 1 week per month
  • Attend and participate in industry related meetings, annual sales meeting, annual company meeting and other events as needed to support the needs of the product development team
  • Provide updates on activities during weekly team calls (virtually)
Marketing Responsibilities
  • Develop new literature pieces, product detailers, treatment protocols, blogs, articles, etc. assisting current Marketing Team in product launches
  • Refresh existing literature pieces/items
  • Develop “Product Launch Tool Kit” with Marketing Team for each new product
  • Update the Tool Kit as new data becomes available
  • Create marketing and sales charts, graphs using trial/lab/field efficacy data
  • Provide scripting, voice overs, and video cameos in marketing related video content and social media posts
  • Write articles and other materials as needed for trade publications, magazines, etc.
  • Provide webinars and other educational opportunities as requested by Marketing Director
Field Sales Support/Technical Services
  • Assist field sales managers with product complaints, adverse effects, and trouble calls
  • Collect and update current PowerPoint presentations to create a consistent message across all territories and product offerings
  • Create new presentations and deploy to field as needed
  • Attend industry meetings – Sales focus, CEU trainings (as requested)
  • National Account Support
Other
  • Additional Duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Ph. D., entomology or related field preferred, with experience in a relevant technical environment (preferred)
  • Master of Science, entomology or related field preferred, with at least seven years of experience in a relevant technical environment;
  • Proven track record in providing technical support
  • A thorough knowledge of the professional pest control market
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills necessary to deal with complex technical issues
  • Ability to travel 40-50%
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, across functions, and external partners
  • Ability to resolve key project hurdles and problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task
  • Experience in a start-up environment with tight deadlines is desirable
  • Strong organizational, time management, prioritization, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with all levels within the organization
  • Ability to manage projects independently and without supervision
