Join our dynamic finance team and contribute to our commitment to excellence. We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Coordinator who is eager to learn and bring innovative ideas to improve our processes.

The Accounts Payable Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and managing the Accounts Payable process and various accounting functions. This role requires close collaboration with our Finance, Facilities, IT, and HR teams, as well as support to other departments across the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform general accounting duties:

  • Process weekly accounts payable invoices, generate checks and ACH payments, obtain necessary signatures, and ensure timely distribution.
  • Research and resolve all discrepancies with vendors efficiently.
  • Review and maintain accurate tax forms for all vendors.
  • Prepare and file Form 1099 for eligible vendors.
  • Prepare and provide financial reports to department managers as requested.
  • Prepare and process receipts and deposits.
  • Prepare and enter general ledger journal entries accurately.
  • Assist in preparing audit schedules and responding to audit queries.
  • Order and distribute office supplies.
  • Assist with copier, fax, and postage machines, as needed.
  • Assist with other accounting duties and special projects as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • Associate degree in general studies or related field experience.
  • 1 to 2 years of office experience with a basic accounting focus, including handling accounts payable.

Computer Skills

  • Knowledge of Sage Intacct accounting system experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, with particular emphasis on Excel
