We are looking for a Grill Cook to be part of our Back of the House Team!
Join our flourishing culinary team as a Grill Cook, where precision, passion, and presentation are at the heart of every dish. In our fine dining kitchen, you’ll work with premium ingredients, refined techniques, and a team that values excellence in every detail.
As a Grill Cook, you will be responsible for executing dishes with consistency and finesse, ensuring every plate meets our high standards for flavor, presentation, and timing. You’ll work closely with our Chefs to deliver a seamless dining experience that reflects the sophistication of our brand.
What You Will Do:
- Prepare and cook food items on the grill and other stations following recipes and presentation standards
- Ensure all ingredients meet freshness and quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of your station, equipment, and storage areas
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures at all times
- Assist with prep work, inventory, and planning for daily and next-day production
- Communicate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service and timely food delivery
- Properly store raw and cooked foods and ensure correct rotation of ingredients
- Report on equipment issues and maintain efficient use of kitchen resources
What We’re Looking For:
- Mastery of grilling, searing, and sautéing techniques
- Strong knife skills and understanding of culinary terminology
- Ability to work cleanly, efficiently, and with attention to detail
- Familiarity with Italian cuisine is a plus
- Comfortable using commercial kitchen equipment and cleaning agents
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year in a professional kitchen, with at least 6 months on a grill or hot line
- Experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant environments strongly preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary training is a plus
- Current Food Safety Certification required
- Ability to stand for extended periods in a high-heat environment
- Lift and carry up to 45 lbs.
- Bend, reach, and move quickly in a fast-paced kitchen
