QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, education, business administration, public administration, or a related field; (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Experience as a K–12 educator for three years, or equivalent experience supporting educator certification or preparation programs;
  • Knowledge of Texas educator certification requirements, alternative certification pathways, and TExES examinations (or demonstrated ability to acquire knowledge rapidly);
  • Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, data tracking systems, learning management platforms, and vendor-based instructional resources;
  • Self-motivated; ability to provide outstanding customer service; excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups of educators and stakeholders;
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain certification requirements, timelines, and expectations;
  • Ability to utilize digital platforms and communication tools to support program coordination, teacher engagement, and information sharing;
  • Experience utilizing and maintaining a variety of databases with the ability to track progress, analyze data, and generate reports from multiple sources;
  • Effective ability to work on multiple assignments, meet deadlines, maintain confidentiality, and ensure compliance with district and grant requirements; and
  • Ability to perform a variety of tasks and adjust priorities on short notice, with little to no direction.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:


Full-time, at-will, grant-funded position through March 31, 2028. Employment is strictly limited to the grant period and will end on that date; it will not be extended.


THIS IS A GRANT FUNDED POSITION FOR 2 CALENDAR YEARS


SALARY:

$37.00/hour

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develops, coordinates, and manages the district’s Certification Support Program for uncertified teachers across multiple campuses.
  • Aligns certification support structures, timelines, and interventions with district staffing priorities and Texas Education Agency certification requirements.
  • Monitors and measures teacher progress toward certification, including exam registration, preparation milestones, and certification completion.
  • Supports efforts to increase districtwide educator certification rates through structured supports, targeted interventions, and accountability systems.
  • Coordinates certification preparation activities, including protected release days, content-specific bootcamps, tutoring sessions, and study plans.
  • Facilitates collaboration with campus leadership, Human Resources staff, and external vendors to ensure effective implementation of certification supports.
  • Gathers, compiles, and reports to the HR Director and district leadership data related to teacher engagement, exam participation, pass rates, and certification outcomes.
  • Supports teachers through certification pathways by communicating expectations, timelines, and available resources clearly and consistently.
  • Works closely with the HR Director and district leadership team to identify staffing needs, prioritize certification efforts, and remove barriers to certification completion.
  • Supports the design and implementation of certification support structures, including development of performance monitoring and accountability plans.
  • Maintains accurate documentation related to certification support activities, grant compliance, and progress monitoring.
  • Provides regular (at least monthly and as requested) reports documenting progress toward certification milestones, including key deliverables and related data.
  • Coordinates exam registration processes, including management of upfront exam funding and tracking of exam completion.
  • Identifies teachers requiring additional support and coordinates targeted interventions to increase likelihood of first-attempt exam success.
  • Analyzes certification and retention data to provide recommendations and strategies to district leadership to address high-need certification areas.
  • Supports communication and recognition efforts related to certification achievements and program milestones.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
