Description
What Does a Week in the Life of the Sales Engineer Look Like?
-
Supports regional sales managers to accurately configure, price, and quote complex products for customers such as ambulances, stretchers, and other medical equipment.
-
Supports regional sales managers to evaluate and respond to bids and formal requests for proposals to include periodic bid submissions of product offerings and prices to purchasing groups.

Ensures that all incoming orders are processed correctly and in a timely manner.
-
Ensures that each sales person has all the information necessary to effectively communicate with their customers regarding units in production.
-
Performs hands-on inspections on used units that customers bring in for re-mounting on a new truck chassis.

Represents the customer while collaborating with engineering, purchasing, and production throughout the sales cycle and order fulfillment process.

Overcomes challenging dealer communications by consistently and deliberately verifying chassis orders.

Ensures that customer visits and unit deliveries are scheduled, coordinated, and executed efficiently and on time while maximizing customer satisfaction.

Ability to quickly and accurately adapt to changes.

Supports Regional Sales Managers and customers with travel logistics by booking airlines, hotels, rental cars as needed while minimizing travel costs.

Performs pre-delivery vehicle inspections.

Supports regional sales manager at final inspection and in-service delivery walk-around with customers when their unit is ready for pickup.

Ensures that invoicing processes and payment collection is proactively managed to minimize errors and ensure the most timely receipt of payments possible.

Actively live out Frazer Core Values while working with Frazer employees, vendors, and customers to help achieve team, department, and corporate goals.

Learns and reinforces safe and proper work procedures while actively following Frazer Safety programs and other policies outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Actively pursues productivity enhancements by recommending and/or implementing policy and process changes to improve effectiveness or efficiency.

Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Hosts in person and remote customer specification review meetings to understand and address customer requirements.

Responds to customer inquiries by phone, email, in person, or by mail providing technical specifications, pricing, quotes, and other information as needed.

Proactively maintains contact with existing customers to keep contact information, sales opportunities, interactions, estimates, order forecasts, customer orders, and more up to date in Frazer company computer systems.

Builds customer relationships and promotes Frazer solutions by attending trade shows, events, customer dinners, and hosting customer site visits.
-
Attends daily & weekly sales & marketing meetings via in-person, telephone or video conference.

Submits accurate monthly expense reports on time.
-
Enter time in UKG and verify weekly.

High School Diploma or GED
-
2+ years relevant experience
-
Ability to pass background and motor vehicle record check
-
Reliable form of transportation and vehicle insurance
-
College degree preferred
-
2+ years experience in inside sales or engineering
-
Experience selling to municipal governments
-
Fire/ EMS background
-
Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
