Summary
The Baylor College of Medicine Department of Pediatrics - Critical Care is seeking a qualified candidate to fill an Instructor level PRN position.
Work Schedule: as needed, flexible
- Location: Texas Children's Hospital
- One of the largest free standing academic children's hospital in the country
- Located in the heart of the Texas Medical Center located just south of Downtown Houston
- 184 ICU beds across the TCH system
- Subspecialty ICU care model with separate transitional care unit
- Separate Heart Center with cardiac ICU's
- Level 1 trauma center
Job Duties
- Care for critically ill infants and children who need a high-level of monitoring and treatment. This will include those with respiratory failure due to pneumonia or bronchiolitis, septic shock, neurological emergencies such as seizures, severe trauma, and post-operative patients including neurosurgery and organ transplantation.
- Care is provided in collaboration with all pediatric subspecialties in addition to pediatric nursing, respiratory therapy, and ancillary services.
Minimum Qualifications
- MD/DO Degree, or equivalent.
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine
- Minimum years of experience: Fellowship in Pediatric Intensive Care (3 years)
