Position Summary (Independent Contractor)
The sales manager will be responsible for achieving revenue goals associated with suite sales, the Art of Soccer (AOS) campaign sales, and other hospitality packages associated with the FIFA World Cup 2026 Houston Host Committee. This position will be field inbound interest and pursue sales opportunities by prospecting and networking. This is a high-profile, externally facing position requiring exceptional organizational, communication, and relationship management skills.

Business Development (70%):

·         Maximize revenue associated with specific suite inventory, AOS sales, and other hospitality

·         Carefully manage inventory

·         Prospect and present sponsorship opportunities to existing and new partners

·         Track activity and progress toward goals

·         Manage the delivery of tickets and other sponsor/partner assets

Administrative/Reporting (30%)

·         Build trust-based relationships with partners to gain a full understanding of their objectives, priorities, and needs

·         Serve as a key contact and manage daily correspondence with C-level executives and other corporate partners

·         Create presentation materials and other marketing collateral

Qualifications:
A four-year degree in communications or business is preferred, or equivalent experience. Excellent written and verbal communications skills; demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills; knowledge of the Houston community; 5+ years’ experience working in the areas of account management, communications, project management, community relations, sales, or marketing; proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office. Customer service mindset required. Must be an enthusiastic team player willing to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Contract Term:

November 1, 2024 – July 31, 2026
