Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic General Manager to lead our Houston Customer Service Center (CSC). This is the top leadership role for our Houston operations, overseeing a team of approximately 200 employees and driving performance across all functional areas, including Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, HR, Finance, Quality, and Customer Service.
This role requires an experienced and hands-on leader who will champion our strategic pillars of Safety, People, Client, Culinary, Service, and Digital, ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction. The General Manager will be responsible for setting and executing the business strategy, optimizing financial and operational performance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Reports to: Vice President – West Market
Location: near Houston International Airport
Main Accountabilities
- Develop and execute the Houston CSC business strategy in alignment with regional and corporate goals.
- Drive operational efficiency through lean manufacturing principles, process optimization, and cost control.
- Lead cross-functional teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, focusing on safety, quality, and service excellence.
- Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management, ensuring profitability and growth.
- Foster a strong employee culture, developing talent, enhancing engagement, and building high-performing teams.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders—including customers, suppliers, and corporate leadership—to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and quality standards, including HACCP, Lean Manufacturing, and company-wide initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- 10+ years of leadership experience in operations management, preferably in manufacturing
- Recent experience in food manufacturing or airline operations is a plus
- Strong background in lean manufacturing, process improvement, and cost optimization.
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Experience managing cross-functional departments and driving large-scale operational improvements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to build, develop, and maintain strong cross-functional teams, employee relations and union relations
- Experience in managing multiple departments
- Polished presentation and interpersonal skills
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications
