Science Technician
The British International School Houston is looking to appoint an outstanding Science Technician to support the practical and technical aspects of the science curriculum (year 7 to 13) by preparing, providing, maintaining, organising and managing the resources required for healthy, safe and secure, exciting practical activities to be carried out by staff and students.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Ordering specific special equipment as requested by staff.
- Organising storing and labelling of new equipment.
- Liaising with academic staff to discuss equipment requirements.
- Attend department meetings to support with curriculum planning.
- Support in the management of the science budget.
- Keep an audit of chemicals.
- Organise the waste of chemicals.
- Preparing solutions from stock concentrations.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in science.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience.
- Must be proficient with MAC and Desktop.
- Be available onsite Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm
