Description
American Traveler is seeking a GI/Endoscopy Tech with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment in Houston, TX.
Details
- Acute care hospital GI/Endoscopy unit with 10 procedure suites
- Approximately 60 cases per day including EGDs, colonoscopies, PEG placements, Bravo placements, and dilations
- 8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
- No call, on-call, or weekend requirements
- Floating required within the 3 endoscopy departments
- Epic EMR used in this position
- Daily parking is available at $15+/day, with monthly garage/lot passes ranging from $95–$120
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of GI/Endoscopy Tech experience
- Ability to tech all basic endoscopy cases independently
- Active BLS certification required; pending certifications will not be accepted
- License required if applicable; must be active — pending licenses will not be accepted
- Driver's license required for consideration
- 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
Additional Information
- Experience with endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and/or basic ERCPs is preferred
- Unit-specific orientation is 2–3 days
- OR scrubs required
- Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit or affiliated facility (including CHI and/or Dignity Health) within the past year are not eligible; candidates who worked PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
